- Students: The google doc to make schedule changes for 2nd semester will be available on the counselor's webpage starting Monday, December 15th. If you are wanting to make a change to your schedule, please wait until Monday and then fill out the google doc. Unfortunately, requests for changing a lunch or study hall period will not be granted.
- Students who registered to take the ASVAB last month—please check your email for an important message from Mrs. Murdy.

- Students registered to take the ACT on Saturday, please use door #20 by Mr. White’s classroom. Plan to arrive by 7:45 AM. Remember to bring a photo ID and print your admission ticket at the Help Desk before Friday. - Semester Test Exemption and Appeals: Junior and Senior students who have exceeded the number of days allowed for the semester test exemption have been sent an appeal form to be completed by Thursday, 12/11 at 3:30. If you wish to appeal for your semester test exemption status, you must fill out the form by Thursday at 3:30. If you did not receive the email, but you’ll be gone between now and semester tests days, your exemption status will change and an appeal will need to be filled out. Absences not communicated to Mrs. Moore or Mr. Paula will automatically lead to you having to take your semester tests.
Freshmen and sophomores, you can earn a voucher by having four or few Saturday School points in a semester. This voucher is good for an 8% bump on your semester test in one specific class. These will be handed out after we get back from winter break. You can see if you’ll earn a voucher by looking at your number of tardies, unexcused absences, and referrals to the office.
- The Fred Assam Science Fair is right around the corner. We are in need of upper classmen that are excited about science to be judges! It is a great way to get volunteer hours and to help out our FAE scientists. The science fair is on January 26th, judges need to report by 4:15. If you are interested, please email gina.sershen@k12.sd.us.
- BV SPORTS PARTICIPATION: Parents must complete BOUND registration for each sport before their student/s can begin tryouts/practice for that sport – and registration involves more than just a physical-form upload. Parents can begin by selecting Registration from the top/main menu of the following page: https://www.gobound.com/sd/schools/brandonvalley Select Registration; don’t go into the activity first. (Students cannot try out or begin practice with only the physical form.) Managers, your parents must also complete all of the steps of BOUND manager registration; those steps include everything except the physical-form upload. Again, PARENTS complete BOUND registration. Students do not.
