- Current Junior Girls: If you are interested in attending the SD Girls State session, please see the email sent from Mrs. Willman. Fill out the required paperwork (attached in the email) and return it to Mrs. Willman by Friday, February 27 and she will submit the necessary materials to get you signed up.
- Basketball Seniors (Players, Manager and Cheerleaders), please see Jeanie in the office as soon as possible regarding senior night.
- Congratulations to Sophia Niessink for winning the BV Optimist Club's essay scholarship contest and to Jackson Burns for being named runner-up and also receiving scholarship money! Sophia will now advance to the District competition where she will compete for a $2,500 scholarship!
- Congratulations to the BVHS Speech Team for earning qualifier spots at the Rushmore District Qualifying Tournament. Individual qualifiers are Bella Reif and Garrison Truckenmiller in Duo Interp and Olive Eggers in Humorous Interp. Bella also placed 1st in the final round of Dramatic Interp and Garrison placed 4th in the final round of Humorous Interp. Also qualifying are Leighton Geutter as 1st alternate in Humorous Interp and Olaf Lindquist as a finalist in Program of Interp. These students will travel to Richmond, Virginia, in June to compete in the National Speech and Debate Association National Speech Tournament.
- MANDATORY concussion testing for freshmen and junior softball athletes, vaulters, hurdlers, and jumpers who have not done concussion testing yet this year is on Wednesday (25th) at 4:15. Testing will be held in the community room.
- Track and Field equipment check-out TODAY, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. Check your BOUND message in your email for your check-out day. If you are not registered on BOUND, you cannot check out items.
- Students, your future is calling! The 2026 Career & Job Fair is happening on February 25th during TEAM time! Learn about part time jobs, internships, future career opportunities, or just network with employers to better prepare you for your future. Check out the list of employers who will be attending
- Next Wednesday, March 4, is National Spread the Word Inclusion Day! Please come sign the banner and take the pledge to Spread the Word and Include on Wednesday, March 4th during your lunch period! We will have tables set up in the commons! At Brandon Valley High School, we love celebrating inclusion all week long to raise awareness and recognize the great efforts our students and staff make to create an inclusive community. We invite everyone to join us March 2–6 by participating in the following dress-up days! If you ordered a BV Includes shirt and selected the high school as your pick-up location, please stop by Mrs. Orren’s room (#175) to pick up your shirt. Wear your shirts on March 4th!

- Students interested in engineering: Raven Industries is hosting an Engineering Career Day. The event is scheduled for March 5, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and will be held at the Innovation Campus in Baltic. This event will provide a valuable opportunity for students to learn more about the work Raven does, their innovative technologies, and how Raven supports farmers in feeding and sustaining the world. - Registration for the Brandon Valley HIgh School trap team is now open. See details on Brandon Valley Trap Team Facebook page or go to SD Clay Target League, team registration code: bry992. Registration is only open to eligible students enrolled in the BV school district.
- Do you care about protecting our planet? Want to make a real difference in our school and community? Join the Environmental Club! There will be an informational meeting this Friday at 7:30 in Miss Hicks's room (Room 120).

- BV Football Interns Wanted for Fall 2026! - BV SPORTS PARTICIPATION: Parents must complete BOUND registration for each sport before their student/s can begin tryouts/practice for that sport – and registration involves more than just a physical-form upload. Parents can begin by selecting Registration from the top/main menu of the following page: https://www.gobound.com/sd/schools/brandonvalley Select Registration; don’t go into the activity first. (Students cannot try out or begin practice with only the physical form.) Managers, your parents must also complete all of the steps of BOUND manager registration. Again, PARENTS complete BOUND registration. Students do not.
