• If you are interested in working with young children or wanting to be a teacher, come to our Educators Rising meeting on Thursday, September 10th meeting.  We will meet at 7:15AM in room 117.  If you have any questions, reach out to Mrs. Poppe.

• If you're interested in joining Best Buddies, please sign up by Friday, September 11th! Registration form can be filled out at https://forms.bestbuddies.org/4904013. Join the Best Buddies Band App for more information about upcoming events at https://band.us/n/aea2bdF1kfT6C . If you have any questions, please reach out Mrs. Orren, Mrs. Dady or Mrs. Neeman.  
• Two clock operators are needed for middle-school football on Thursday, September 10. Pay is $50 for two games. Report time is 4:00. If you are interested in working, please email Bill.Freking@k12.sd.us.
• Juniors and Seniors: Heads up! National Honor Society Applications will be due at the end of October and more information will be headed your way after Homecoming.  If you are interested in applying,  you will need to meet the requirements of service and leadership as well as having a GPA of 3.4.  The service component includes 6 hours of service completed since last October.  The leadership component includes being chosen or choosing to serve in a leadership role.  You do not have to take any action now, this is just a reminder of the requirement.   If you are a current member of NHS, there is no requirement for service or leadership.   If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Stemwedel.

• Students interested in joining Creative Minds are invited to an informational meeting TODAY, after school in Mr. Nelson’s Art Room. If you are unable to attend, information will be available to pick up after the meeting at any time from Mr. Nelson. Please note: This meeting has been moved up one week from the date communicated previously.
• PSAT Sign Ups are Live! Sophomores and Juniors have an opportunity to sign up for the PSAT given at Brandon Valley High School on October 14. The PSAT is an opportunity for students to practice for college entrance exams and Juniors have an opportunity to qualify for National Merit Scholarships based upon their score. If you are interested in signing up, act soon! We have limited spots and signups will close on September 15. Bring payment of $18 to the high school office to claim your spot. • Lead. Learn. Drive.  If you are interested in learning the basics about car maintenance, register for this free event at Northwest Tire in Brandon on Monday, September 21st from 5:30-7:30 pm.  Check out the flyer for more information and registration details.  Space is limited.
• Juniors, the concessions sign-up sheet was emailed to you. Sign up using the link in the email (while logged into your k12 account. In exchange for working one shift, your junior and senior prom ticket costs are waived ($50 total value).
• The band-practice parking lot must be cleared at the end of each school day. If you park in the band-practice lot and you have practice or are leaving for an activity, please move your car before you leave or start practice.
• BVHS PARKING AND TRAFFIC FLOW INFORMATION (includes parking lot map) There are no available parking spots.  
• Brandon Valley has a new District Events calendar, which is available in the “Calendar” tab of the following site: https://www.gobound.com/sd/schools/brandonvalley .
• BOUND REGISTRATION - REQUIRED BEFORE PRACTICE: BOUND registration is required for each BV sport and includes the upload of a complete physical dated on or after April 1, 2026. ( BOUND-registration instructions on page 1 of the Brandon Valley physical form.) Registration should be completed at least one week prior to the start of practice.
