• With Prom next week Saturday, we need your help in order to have decorations at Prom.   We have arranged times so that all of you have a chance to participate.  Please grab a friend and come to Mrs. Terpstra's room (111) at these times.

8th period-Anyone open can help!  

Tuesday:  3:30-5:30 (An after school time)

Thursday:  6:00-9:00 (An evening time for those that have after school activities)

Friday:  3:30-8:00  (Putting everything up in the COMMONS)

Saturday:  Prom (See flyer for details!)

• “The SpongeBob Musical” tickets are now on sale! April 23, 24, 25 at 7pm, and April 26 at 1:00pm. Passes are not accepted. Reserved seating. $10 for adults and $5 for students. If you have the BOUND app, do NOT go into the App first; instead, click on the TICKET Link.
• PROM TICKETS! Juniors and seniors, the Google Form was emailed to you. Sign up ASAP!!
• We will be wrapping up our yearbook sales at the end of the month. Order by April 30th  to ensure you will receive a copy!  If you wait until May to order, you will not be guaranteed a yearbook. • Registration for the Sanford Summer Sports Performance Program is now open. On April 1, all BV students in grades 6-11 (and their parents) were sent an email with information and a registration link.
• Powerlifting awards are now in the office. Please stop in to grab yours.
• On April 1, 2026, Brandon Valley’s new physical form (for the year 2026-2027) was emailed to all students in grades 6-11 and their parents. The email and the physical form include Activity/BOUND registration instructions. Registration is now open for all 2026-2027 sports and high school marching band. It  can be completed any time after the student has a new physical dated on or after April 1, 2026 – and it is REQUIRED before practice. Follow the instructions on the physical form. As was the case this year, physicals must be uploaded as part of the BOUND registration process; paper, faxed and emailed physical forms will NOT be accepted. 
• For seniors on the BV Trap Team, we have a scholarship available this year.  See Mr. Lovrien with any questions!  
• Registration for FALL 2026 online Dual Credit opened April 1st! Current sophomores and juniors planning to take online dual credit should check the BVHS school counselor website for updated information: Public University HSDC-BV or Technical College HSDC-BV Mrs. Murdy will be available in the community room during TEAM + lunches on Thursday, April 9 to help with registration. Students planning to take non-Rising Scholars high school dual credit in the fall should attend if they don’t know how to register on their own. Attendance will be taken.  
• Registration for Rising Scholars will be communicated at a different time via email to students enrolled in Rising Scholars classes for the fall.
• We’re looking to build our Best Buddies Student Officer/Leadership Team for next year! If you love Best Buddies and want to help grow our chapter, this is a great opportunity for you. Applications are due by Tuesday, 4/7! Sign up HERE
• SALSA Meeting: April 7th (Tuesday) at 7:00 AM in the Community Room. Speakers: Emily from Friends of the Big Sioux River and Gregg from the Service Leadership Academy
• Baccalaureate is May 6th in the PAC. For any seniors wanting to participate in leading this evening, please come to the meeting on April 8th at 2:30pm in the community room.
• BV Colorguard Tryout Info: Want to try something new? Come join the BV Colorguard and be part of our award winning Marching Band!  Tryout Dates: April 14th, 16th, 21st, and 27th. Time & location: 6:00–8:00 PM @ BVHS. Open to all current 8th -11th graders—no experience necessary! Come be part of an exciting and creative team. For more information, scan the QR code on the flyers hanging throughout the building.  
• Math Tutors => Middle School Power Hour has been canceled for this week.  Tutoring will resume on Tuesday, 4/7.  Please check your email or see Mr. White in room 154 to sign up for April.
• Teacher and Classified Staff of the Year nomination forms are under the “Quick Lynx” section of the HS website.
• Coyote Conversations: Join the USD College of Arts & Sciences and USD Admissions team for a Coyote Conversation in your community on Wednesday, April 8th from 3:30-5:30 PM at GreatLIFE Suburban Lanes Family Fun Center. Whether you're curious about the variety of academic programs, interested in learning about scholarships and financial aid options, or eager to get started on the next steps in preparing for your college career, our team of dedicated admissions professionals will be available to guide you through every step of the process. • Service Academy Day: Saturday, April 11th from 9:30-11:30 AM at the Sioux Falls Downtown Library - Meeting Room B: Senator Mike Rounds invites all interested high school students and their families to attend the annual Service Academy Day.  This event helps students and their parents familiarize themselves with the application and nomination process to any of the nation's five service academies.  Academy representatives will be on hand to answer questions.
