• Students, in celebration of "Free College Application Period," please stop in the office to grab a BINGO card. Find any staff member at BVHS who has experienced one of the statements in the BINGO card and have them sign. Once you have filled all squares with a signature, please return the sheet to the office for a chance to win a prize!  
• Concessions workers for Tuesday, October 13, are Ali Ims, Kallie Veld, Kyndle Paquette, Daylia Thompson, and Evelyn Warren. Report time is 4:00. Camera/videoboard operators are Landon Pisciotti, Saniyah Tott, and Savannah Sanders. See the Camera/Videoboard sign-up sheet for report times.
• A sideline camera operator is needed for tomorrow - Friday, October 9. For the football game on October 22, a videoboard operator and sideline operator are needed. Sign up here: Camera/Videoboard Sign-Up
• The Environmental Club is excited to host a clothing/hygiene drive to help families and individuals in need in our area. You can drop off new and gently used clothing and unused hygiene products in the office, Miss Hicks' room (120), and Mrs. Sittig's room (250), until Friday, October 23rd. Some ideas to donate are: coats, sweatshirts, shoes, hats and gloves, new socks, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, shampoo, and conditioner.
• Tryouts for The Variety Show are Wednesday, December 16th after school. Sign up on the Variety Show Tryouts Form! 
• Any student interested in competing in the VFW's Voice of Democracy essay contest should stop by Mr. Risty's room (166) to grab a form.  State winners earn a $7,000 scholarship, while the national winner earns $35,000! Entry is free and open to all students.
• Juniors, the concessions sign-up sheet was emailed to you. Sign up using the link in the email (while logged into your k12 account). In exchange for working one shift, your junior and senior prom ticket costs are waived ($50 total value). REMINDER: if you fail to report for a shift for which you signed up (or you fail to give a week notice if a shift does not work for you), you will not be able to sign up for an alternate shift – unless you can find your own replacement.
• Brandon Valley events can be found under the “Calendar” tab at https://www.gobound.com/sd/schools/brandonvalley .  You can also select the Activities Calendar from the “Calendar” area of any Brandon Valley website.
• BOUND REGISTRATION - REQUIRED BEFORE PRACTICE: BOUND registration is required for each BV sport and includes the upload of a complete physical dated on or after April 1, 2026. Registration should be completed at least one week prior to the start of practice.  See page 1 of the Brandon Valley physical form (or the following webpage) for registration instructions: BOUND Physical/Registration Instructions.
