Minutes for December 5 at 7:30 in New Borough Hall

Minutes for Tonight’s Meeting:

• Approve Minutes from November’s Meeting

• Update on Remaining Budget for 2016 & 2017 Projected Budget

• Sam will meet find out about completing the project and get back to us at the next meeting

• New P.E.C.O. Grant submittal Updated submittal

• Borough solicitor is looking at it and will get back to us
• Gilmore engineer, borough engineer - advise that the bridge must be ADA compliant, but other compliances may be able to be handled with borough volunteers (not grass or dirt - hard smooth surface to lead to bridge)

• Packed gravel path -

• We are interested in revisiting this idea after the bridge is in place - since it is not needed to meet the requirements

• Change bridge budget to $2,000 from about $6,000 (and still meet the requirements)

• As long as we don't change the width or length of the bridge, we do not need another permit
• Doylestown Township permit costing $1,000 is needed for the bridge only (must be ADA)

• Group supports applying for the PECO Grant (and passing on the DCNR grant)

• at $20,000 - $10,000 match  - knowing that we will be able to return money not spent and return it for ADA, trails, habitat restoration, orchard maintenance
• Sam will ask for extension on temporary permit so that we can wait for the grant

• Mike Italia - is coming out to look at bridge.  Sam will get back to us about his input.

• Old Business

• Update on DEP Permit.
• Information Center update - Lori will get a key and add to the info center.
• Awarding of bid for Pruning of existing apple trees 2017

• We want to prune the bigger trees - Sam will check into this

• Review job of rock pile removal, and cutting back undergrowth (All About You )

• Sam will see that this job is completed and will get back to us
