NYU’s chapter of Minorities and Philosophy was started in Spring 2017 by Annette Martín, Caroline Bowman, and Iliana Gioulatou. In line with MAP International’s mission of removing barriers for members of marginalized groups and improving the culture of philosophy from the perspective of diversity, equity and inclusion, we regularly organize talks, workshops, trainings, and community-building events, both at NYU and in collaboration with other NYC chapters. Below you can find a record of our activities since our founding, and get a sense for the events we have planned for this year.
You can follow MAP-NYU on Facebook (@mapnyu) for updates on events and posts relevant to members of marginalized groups in philosophy.
