Resource: Mission US- Developed for use in middle and high school classrooms, Mission US engages students in the study of transformational moments in American history. Each mission consists of an interactive game and a set of curriculum materials that are aligned to national standards and feature document-based activities. Resource: Kumon Learning Center (Free Registration until 7/15, Paid Sessions) - Kumon Learning Center instructors will prepare an individualized lesson plan for your kids and support them as they progress through Kumon within targeted subject areas or for generalized instruction.

Resource: Boys and Girls Club of Buffalo - The Clubs provide a safe, structured environment for socializing and play, learning and growing and fostering positive character values and attitudes. Ages 5 to 12: Clubhouse Directors will have the Department of Social Services (DSS) income guideline chart to determine fees. Families under the income guideline for their family size may be eligible to receive free daycare through DSS. These parents or guardians will need to complete a DSS application and call 858-TYKE (8953) to schedule an appointment. If a parent or guardian attends an appointment with DSS (whether they are approved or not) their fees will be waived. If the parent chooses not to go to DSS, they will be charged a weekly fee.

Families over the income guidelines must meet with their Clubhouse Director to discuss weekly fees.

13 years old and older: Membership fee is $20.00 a year.

The site organizes its games into categories, which allow students and teachers to easily navigate by subject area and find a suitable game that caters to either an instructional need or a child’s sense of curiosity and thirst of knowledge and challenge.
