We will use this document as a brainstorming session before we meet.

First Topic: Committee Needs and Organization:

• Can we pick a leader?
• Who will take minutes?
• What other roles do we need?
• What day will we regularly meet?

Second Topic: Covered Bridge Park and Bike Trail

Bridge

• Would like to see the bike and hike bridge away from the covered bridge. - Lori
• I would also like the pedestrian/ bike bridge built as far away from the Covered Bridge as it can be safely engineered, and within budgetary constraints.-Derek

Communication

• Would like anything that happens, to be communicated with park neighbors - Lori
• I would like to have a copy of the bike/hike survey’s exact route through the park made available to the public on the Borough and N.B.C.A. websites-Derek
• I don't understand how easements are obtained - I would like to figure out how and when people are alerted if there is a path going in on their land.  - Lori

Civic

• I would like to know what Civic’s liability is for insurance?-Derek
• What the path is going to cost the Civic Association?-Derek

Other:

• Will our bathrooms be able to handle the traffic?  Do we have plans to improve them?  If we think bathrooms or something else is necessary, as a result of the trail, who takes care of that...Civic Association or Parks and Recreation? - Lori
• Is there a budget for upkeep of the trail/path in the event it becomes damaged or is in need of repair? Who would pay for that?The Civic Association, or the Borough?-Derek

Third Topic: New Apple Orchard Park

• Do we have a name for this park? - Lori

• Ideas for new park: clearly marked perimeter from the surrounding private properties; footbridge visible from the Covered Bridge Park’s parking lot; create a clearing for gatherings, for picnics and such; I also like Tess’s idea to expand the Community Garden. - Lorraine
• I love the idea of keeping the apple orchard as an apple orchard.  Is the possible?  What would we need to do to it?  Would DelVal be willing to help/advise?  Is this a Civic Association question or a Parks and Rec one? -Lori
• Does this new park have anything to do with Civic? or is it purely Borough run and maintained?
