  1. The meeting was mostly concerned with the fact that the Burkart Hall basement would not be available for the Committee.
  2. The alternative appears to be the Basement area of the Ad Building. There was a discussion of using the rear Bilbo door entrance with some some of structure over the opening with exterior door
  3. Aside meeting with San and the mayor (who was in the building) was that the Borough could find some money in the budget to do this.
  4. A survey of the Basement area revealed a partitioned area originally for Emergency equipment exists. It appears that this area would be sufficient for the committee. The emergent equipment is really not much more than a computer and office equipment requiring a small desk space. There was a large table in the area that the Committee could use for sorting out artifacts etc. The space would need new ceiling, lighting and carpet.
  5. A vestibule may be melded at the entrance from the stair (in the Bilbo door) with signage to direct visitors to the proper area.
  6. The stairs appear to be steep and should be reviewed with the design of the structure. As a minimum there should be a railing on both sides, some good lighting as well as looking at changing the slope.
  7. Lorraine noted that the bungalow at the Post Office has been settled The Schaefer property has been sold to a “flipper”
  8. Lorraine also discussed that the passing of Joe Cossolini may change the status s of any sale of his property. It is in the Historic Overlay and is was a school house. The HP Committee should be reluctant to demolition. There is rumored to be historic school books on the premises.
  9. Dick reported that Planning heard a request for additions to the Kirk site off of Mathews Ave. Because of the number of variances and waivers requested, this was referred to the Zoning Hearing Boards – to be continued.
  10. The status of the Wreaths across America was discussed. Bruce reported that he still had some contacts to make.
  11. The next meeting is January 18th 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Ad Building
