If you are interested in attending the Latinx Youth Summit on November 21st for an all day event to meet other Latinx students in the area and learn about options after high school. Transportation and lunch are provided. Please see Ms. Sande in the Counseling Center or Mr. Leierer in A8 for signing up. The deadline for sign ups is November 1st.

Calling all artists!  The Olympia Reads Committee is seeking submissions for this year’s bookmark contest. Submissions are due Nov 3rd.  See Mrs. Bonds in the library for the entry form and rules.  

If you haven’t officially let the library know, then now is the time to sign up to participate in this year’s Battle of the Books.  Teams of 2-4 people read a few books and answer trivia-like questions to earn points.  Send a team member to the library to sign up.  If you want to be placed on a team, let Mrs. Bonds know asap.  Battles will begin mid-March.  

October Open Mic Thursday October 30 from 4-5:30 in the library! Sign up starts at 3:45. Snacks provided. Bring your poems, stories, lyrics, rants or raves–your words, your voice!

National Honor Society will have its first meeting this Wednesday, October 22nd at 2:45 in the Lecture Hall.  If you are a 10th, 11th or 12th grade student with a cumulative gpa of 3.6 or above you are invited to join.  Please check in with Ms. Hall in room I-8 if you have any questions.

Hey Cougs, on Saturday, October 25th we will be hosting our 1st annual Trunk-or-Treat here at CHS from 4-6pm. Get your club, team or group to come hand out candy and prizes to our local westside families! If you are interested, let's spread the word! Please let Mrs Turcotte know if you plan on attending.

Cougs! THIS THURSDAY is the opening night of Capital Theatre’s Sense & Sensibility! Come and see the ultimate tale of romance, as two very different sisters face the trials and tribulations of learning how to love. Tickets are selling out fast, so if you want to come see this tale of amuse and amour, come to the PAC this Thursday, Friday, or Saturday at 7 PM! An additional matinee will be held on Saturday at 2 PM. We can’t wait to see you there!

Important Reminder:

Capital High School is a closed campus. Students must remain in the commons area during lunch.  We do not allow students to eat in their cars or leave campus unless they have an appointment that has been called into the attendance office by a parent or guardian. All visitors must sign in at the main office. Visitors will be escorted by a staff member to their destination.

Student Section:

Student parking permits are required. Please register your vehicle and purchase your parking pass for $15 at the ASB office.

Student parking is located in the upper parking lot for SPSCC and running start students, the tennis courts and the parking lot located next to C/D pods. No student parking is allowed in the upper staff or visitor parking lot as it is reserved for staff and visitors only. Any violators will be ticketed. Please also make sure your car is parked in between the designated lines.
