  1. Minutes of the September meeting were approved.
  2. Lorraine noted that several properties appear to be available. The bungalow next to the Post Office is under agreement as well as the farm house across from Vandergrift. The latter has the interest of someone from Plumstead. It is not certain whether there is still interest in the two adjacent properties. The newest offering for sale is Bob Schaeffer’s house at 110 W Butler. Which is priced to sell? We should continue to keep being aware of sale signs and resulting sales.
  3. The Mercer Museum meeting was discussed and details will be postponed until the next meeting when more information on Burkart Hall is available. Lorraine expressed concern that the space may not be available and that we could lose some of Bruce’s artifacts to Mercer or Spruance.
  4. Maries passed out copies of her notes (attached) taken at Mercer. She also stated that we should have a Mission Statement (The Committee goal on the website is attached). It was also decided that we should ask the Borough for an additional $1,000. (Total $1,500) for new bunting at the War Memorial and additional materials for preservation of documents, etc. There was a discussion on availability of back issues of the Newsletters. It appears that most were available to preserve in a binder of some sort.
  5. Dick reported that Planning have had a training session and copies of a revised sign ordinance and a specification for the lighting fixtures. The sign ordinance discussion was postponed to next month and the lighting fixture specification was hanged to netter assure that we get what we want.
  6. Jackie’s reported that there was sufficient money for this year’s wreaths. Any addition funds will be a start on next year’s event. All details of this year’s event are in order, a new bunting will be provided. Mary Pat said that the Mayor would be interested in being MC. Marie will give hem notes from precious years.
  7. The next meetings are November 16, 2016 and January 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Ad Building.
