Enrolment
A place on the course can only be reserved upon receipt of the fully completed and signed application forms and must be accompanied by a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the course fee. Deposits cannot be refunded unless we are unable to offer the course. No bookings will be confirmed and secured until payment of the deposit has been received.
Balance of Fees
The balance of fees must be received before the start of the course and by no later than 9th May 2025. Places will be cancelled and the full deposit retained if the balance is outstanding after this date. Subject to availability a place on the course will be reinstated upon receipt of the outstanding balance. Bookings made after the 9th May 2025 must be accompanied by the full fee for the course.

Payment
Please contact us if you would like to pay by childcare vouchers. Otherwise, a full or partial card payment needs to be made at the time of application. If a balance payment is required, we will email you a payment form in April, which you will need to use to make a further card payment.
Course Tutors
Course tutors will generally be either full or part-time teaching staff of Wells Cathedral School - should these professionals be unavailable the School will appoint musicians of a comparable calibre to teach courses.
Cancellation
Wells Cathedral School reserves the right to cancel the course up to 28 days before the start date if numbers enrolled have not reached the minimum requirement to run the course. In the event of the course being cancelled by Wells Cathedral School a complete refund of the fee will be given or an alternative date will be offered.
If an individual (student and/or parent) cancels a booking the initial deposit of 25% is non-refundable. Wells Cathedral School reserves the right to retain all fees paid in the event of a cancellation made after 9th May 2025. All cancellations must be made in writing to Wells Cathedral School.
Refunds
Refunds will only be given in the event of the course being cancelled by Wells Cathedral School. Bookings not paid for in full by 9th May 2025 will be cancelled. Wells Cathedral School reserves the right to retain all fees paid in the event of a cancellation made after 9th May 2025.
Travel
It is the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to arrange travel including, if appropriate, flights and visas. It is also the parent’s/guardian’s responsibility to arrange appropriate travel and medical insurance. If your child is travelling alone from overseas you must arrange for an appropriate guardian for them in the UK should they need to leave the course for any reason.
Personal loss or injury
Wells Cathedral School cannot accept responsibility for any personal loss or injury sustained by participants. Students are advised not to bring expensive items to the summer school, and to lock any other desirable items in their suitcase. In cases of medical or other emergency Wells Cathedral School staff will act in loco parentis.
Behaviour and Safety
During the course we expect that students will conduct themselves appropriately at all times. Students are expected to maintain a smart appearance which can be casual if preferred. Regulations are made for the safety and comfort of all students and must be observed at all times. Students are not permitted to drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes, take drugs or engage in sexual activity at any time, or leave the campus without permission. Wells Cathedral School will withdraw a student for misconduct and/or failure to abide by the summer school rules. Fees will not be refunded and the student will be sent home at the parents’ expense. Students are expected to be able to practise their instrument on their own in a supervised building. Any repairs for damage caused intentionally will be charged for.
