President's Message

Welcome and Welcome Back to Emerald Park Elementary! I hope that you are excited for the fun things we have planned this school year.

Don't forget to check your child's Friday folder each week. That is one of the main ways that the PTSA and the school communicate with families. This year the PTSA is committed to photographing everything that comes home and posting it to our website, so you'll never miss an important announcement again.

The question I get asked more than any other is: Why should I join the PTSA? To be honest, I joined because my kids spend 6+ hours a day at the school and I wanted to know what was going on. PTSA has also given me a chance to improve job skills that I might not otherwise get to use as a stay-at-home mom. And the best part of all has been getting to form lasting friendships with other parents in the community. Anyone and everyone can join the PTSA. There are no volunteer requirements; just discounts, information, and advocacy for children.

Thank you for being part of this wonderful community. If there is anything the PTSA can do to support you child or your family, please reach out to us.
