Resources for Students & Parents:

Online Content & Curriculum Resource - The New York State Education Department has compiled a list of online learning resources for parents and students to use at home, in addition to what teachers are assigning during online instruction. Multiple content areas from K-12, full online learning courses, special education, English language learners, the arts, computer science, early learning, health, math, ELA, physical education, science, and social studies are all covered.

Free Technology for Online Learning - A library of tech driven resources and activities for students to engage in during online learning. These resources are not full lessons or curriculum, but can be used by students at any time to supplement what they are learning online. All grades are covered from Pre-Kindergarten up to 12th grade, and the resources are filterable by grade and searchable by topic.

Math Practice (90 Days) - Parents can sign students up in grades 5 - 9 with a free 90 day trial of Dreambox Learning. This online platform adapts to each individual student, providing them with unique learning opportunities and skills practice. The system runs itself, no setup is needed by the parent.

Individualized Reading & Math Activities  - eSpark can be used at home as a great way for students to continue accessing math and reading content at a level that is right for them. Parents can sign up free, will work on all devices, grades K-5.

The Answer Pad - Online student response system and grading solution for quizzes. Students show what they know on the answer pad, a work space is provided and part of the self grading component for quizzes. Provides immediate feedback for students, can be used with teacher created resources, works on all devices and browsers, free student apps for iOS, Android, Chrome.

Freckle - Assignment and practice problem generator for Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies for grades K-12. Teachers select specific topics, skills, or standards for students to practice and Freckle automatically generates a problem set. Teachers can select the length or difficulty, once completed Freckle automatically grades the assignment. Teachers can preview questions before assigning to students.

Screen Casting & Recording Video - Screencastify allows teachers to record, edit, and share videos of their desktop. Use code CAST_COVID for unlimited access until April 30th.

Problem Attic - Assessment creator and problem bank with hundreds of thousands of problems for math, science, social studies, and ELA, all grade levels, including every released NYS Assessment and Regents exam, selectable by topic, exam, or standard. These can be assigned online to students and automatically graded, or, turned into a PDF. I

Literacy Packets - Engaging and purposeful collections that include strategic math, language arts, science, reading, and literacy opportunities based on proven content. Available as PDF or interactive online doc viewable on any device. For grades 1 - 12, lexile levels are identified on each packet.

Dreambox Learning - Interactive and adaptive math learning tool for students in grades K-2. As students answer questions Dreambox adjusts itself to best suit the students learning needs. All students in grades K-2 have accounts with Dreambox.
