Creating a PowerSchool ID

  1. In a web browser, navigate to crsd.powerschool.com
  2. Click Parent Sign In
  3. Scroll down and click Create PowerSchool ID
  4. Enter your PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) username and password and click Sign In. If you've forgotten your username and/or password, please use the Forgot Username or Password? link. If you've never logged into CRSD's PowerSchool SIS before, please click the Create Account tab and follow the prompts to set up a PowerSchool SIS account before proceeding.
  5. Click Continue
  6. Enter your email address in the email field and a password in the New Password and Retype Password fields and click Create PowerSchool ID
  7. The next web page will confirm that your PowerSchool ID has been created and will explain how to get to Unified Classroom/PowerSchool next time. Click Continue to Unified Classroom Sign In.


Logging in to PowerSchool

Once you’ve created your PowerSchool ID (see Creating a PowerSchool ID), you can log in with the PowerSchool ID and password that you created at classroom.powerschool.com.


Accessing the Main Portal Page

To access the Main Portal Page (“old PowerSchool”) from Unified Classroom:

  1. Click on Quick Links in the left side menu
  2. On the Quick Links page, click on Main Portal Page. Note that you can access other “old PowerSchool” pages directly from this page.


Viewing Electronic Report Cards and Alerts

Copper River School District uses a product called SwiftReach SwiftK12 to send automated alerts, allow parents to manager their own contact information, and send electronic report cards. To view electronic report cards and other documents and recent alerts:

  1. Log into PowerSchool (see Logging in to PowerSchool)
  2. Access the Main Portal Page (see Accessing the Main Portal Page)
  3. Click on the SwiftReach/SwiftK12 icon in the left side menu. Here you will see Documents & Files and Recent Alerts. Click on a document or alert link to view it.


Updating Your Contact Information

As a parent, you now have the option to update your own contact information stored within PowerSchool. To update your contact information:

  1. Log into PowerSchool (see Logging in to PowerSchool)
  2. Access the Main Portal Page (see Accessing the Main Portal Page)
  3. Click on the SwiftReach/SwiftK12 icon in the left side menu.
  4. Select the name of your child for which you’d like to update your contact information at the top left of the page, under the PowerSchool logo. 1
  5. Click on Contact Information in the top right of the SwiftK12 screen
  6. Here you can update your contact information by completing the fields with the desired phone numbers or email addresses. Remember to click Save Changes when you’ve finished updating your contact information! 2

1 Note that you can edit contact information separately for each of your children. It’s okay if you have the same contact information for all of your children, we’ll only contact each contact method once per alert!

2 Note that only one phone number or email address is allowed per field and phone numbers must be digits only, no special characters.


Updating Your Alert Preferences

As a parent, you now have the option to select how you’d like to be alerted with CRSD’s alerting system, SwiftReach SwiftK12. To update your alert preferences:

  1. Log into PowerSchool (see Logging in to PowerSchool)
  2. Access the Main Portal Page (see Accessing the Main Portal Page)
  3. Click on the SwiftReach/SwiftK12 icon in the left side menu.
  4. Select the name of your child for which you’d like to update your alert preferences at the top left of the page, under the PowerSchool logo. 1
  5. Click on Alert Preferences in the top right of the SwiftK12 screen.
  6. Here you can update your alert preferences by checking or unchecking the contact method checkboxes for each alert type. Remember to click Save Changes when you’ve finished updating your contact information! 2

2 Note that the emergency alert type is not editable. In case of an emergency we will notify every contact method stored in PowerSchool to ensure you’re made aware of the emergency.
