Girls Wrestling

There is a meeting for new and returning girls interested in wrestling Monday October 27th from 8:05 to 8:15 am in the commons.  Contact Coach Outland (Derek.Outland@k12.sd.us) with questions.

Student Council

Any student who is interested in running for Student Council this year should see Ms. Duncanson in room 606. Student Council is an organization at BVMS that focuses on promoting a positive school environment, planning school activities, learning about leadership, organizing service opportunities in our community, and representing the thoughts and ideas of the students of BVMS!

Both 7th and 8th grade students may run for a Student Council position.

• 7th graders may run for Secretary (one position) or a Class Representative (multiple positions)
• 8th graders may run for President (one position) or a Class Representative (multiple positions)

Petitions can be picked up in Ms. Duncanson's room (606). Petitions are due back to Ms. Duncanson this Friday, October 24th by the end of the school day. See or email Ms. Duncanson with any questions, Kailee.Duncanson@k12.sd.us

ART CLUB

Art club meets from 3:10 - 4:10 on the following dates:

SADD/TATU

Want to make healthy choices, meet new friends, and help plan fun activities? Join SADD/TATU!

SADD stands for Students Against Destructive Decisions, and TATU stands for Teens Against Tobacco Use.  This group promotes healthy lifestyles and is a great way to get involved at school!

Our first meeting will be held on Thursday, October 23rd, from 7:45 to 8:15 am in the Blue Wing Team Room. Bring a friend!

HALLWAYS

Students, hallways should be clear of your personal belongings. Use your locker and trapper to stay organized. Do not leave them in the hall or in front of lockers.

First Priority

“First Priority begins October 2nd! Join us every Thursday for a peer led bible study from 715-745am in Mr Schaefer’s room (change in location)  There will be donuts, juice, and more. All are welcome!”

BVMS Girls Basketball Meeting

There will be a Middle School Girls Basketball meeting on Monday, October 20, at 7:00 p.m. in the BVMS east gym. The meeting is for students and parents. If interested in participating in BVMS girls basketball this season, please plan to attend.

Please remember that BOUND registration is required for each Brandon Valley sport, and it includes the upload of a complete physical dated on or after April 1, 2025. (See the BOUND-registration instructions on page 1 of the attached physical form.)
