Beautiful Places Around The World
During my writing assignments I engage in a great deal of research and often come across many interesting websites. One such site is titled Wonderslists.com.
The website provides lists regarding everything from the Top 10 Fascinating and Unusual Butterflies to The Top 10 Food Items That Were Invented Accidentally. It's a fun-filled site that will keep you engaged for hours at a time. So you’d better be careful if you’re working remotely! Some say the website is click-bait, but I digress. It's simply a fun site designed for entertainment purposes only.
Therefore, when it’s time for you to get away from all the negative news in the media today, the Wonderlists website will definitely become one of your favorite go-to sites.
I selected the list…10 Stunning Photos of Beautiful Places Around the World…Here are 5 of those places. Click on the link to view all 10.
Santo Domingo Savio, Meedellín
The sculpture is on the road between Medellin to
Santo Domingo Savio in Colombia.
Temple Watrong Khun, Thailand
Just 13 km outside of the Chiang Rai city center, an extravagant
artistic temple outshines even the most fabulous of traditional
Buddhist temples. Buddhist and Hindi in origin, the temple's artist, Chalermchai Kositpipat began construction in 1997 both as an
offering and as an important statement against
the charms of the modern world.
Terraced Rice Fields, Ping'an, China
The Rice Fields of Longsheng are about a two hour drive from the Chinese city of Giulin (Li River fame). This was taken from one of the many lookouts in the mountainside village of Ping’an. Although we didn’t have the best of weather the rain did stop long enough for a few nice photo opportunities, like this one.
Picturesque English Village of Castle Combre in Wiltshire
Castle Combe, with a population of around three hundred and fifty, is often called ‘the prettiest village in England‘. Situated in a conservation area on the southernmost edge of the Cotswolds and just
twelve miles from Bath, this hidden gem has been
welcoming visitors for at least a century.
Ta Prohm Temple, Cambodia
Ta Prohm is the modern name of a temple at Angkor, Siem Reap Province, Cambodia, built in the Bayon style largely in the late 12th and early 13th centuries and originally called Rajavihara.
