- Understand borough billing schedule to use remaining year-end funds in their budgeted year
- Mowing contract- Borough is currently accepting bids. It was suggested we contact Mack Lawn service, who mows Covered Bridge Park for Civic.
- Discuss low budgetary balance due to roll-over expenses and high tree management expenses

- Topics for Discussion:
- Apple tree pruning (year 2)
- Andrea will view work performed on (7) apple trees in late January
- Plan to contact Bartlett in late 2018/early 2019 regarding year 3 work
- Ash tree removal
- Received proposal in 2017 from Bair for removal of remaining trees ($1,850.00). It was suggested we wait to see how much money we have at end of year before making decision to proceed. Needs to be completed at some point, but could spread work out.
C. Ash tree pruning - Received proposal from Bartlett in Oct. 2017 to remove dead hazard limbs from large ash at Park entrance for $665.00. Committee had approved proposal.
- Doesn’t appear this work was done, as no payment was made to Bartlett.
- Recreation Fund
- Sam reviewed how fund is funded at .75 mills/per; amount set by finance/council
- Budget process begins in August; submit preliminary budget request in early fall
- Invasives strategy
- Meeting being organized - Sam is lead
- Boundary survey and marking
- Need to meet with Mark Hinterlang to locate survey markers
- We have 10 boundary stakes and signs to install once boundary markers are located.
- Results of resident survey re: parks
- Better understanding needed of park location, boundaries, amenities
- DCNR Grant
- Waiting for DCNR contract to proceed
- Discussed Engineering supplement ($10,000) use - Chris Green (Gilmore) created sketch which Sam will bring to next meeting.
- Committee would like Fran Dogherty and Chris Green to attend next committee meeting on 3/5/18 meeting to discuss engineering and work to be completed
- Group voted to join Bucks County Recreation Council and approved payment of $25 annual fee.
- Community Garden 2018
- Andrea will schedule kick-off meeting in March/April and will contact current members
- Action Items
- Sam will contact Bair to convey committee’s decision to delay removal of remaining ash trees.
- Sam will check with Pete Williams to see if Bartlett removed hazard limbs from large ash in Fall, 2017, as per their proposal.

- Sam will invite Fran Dogherty and Chris Green to attend next committee meeting on March 5
- Andrea will schedule time to meet with Mark Hintenlang at Orchard Park to locate all survey markers
