Blazing Swan Fire Safety Rules - 2024

Prohibited in all areas:
Pressurised Liquid Fuel Flame Effects.
Ground fires, including fire pits or any style of campfire, unless part of an approved Art Installation or cultural activity.


Prohibited in designated General Camping areas:
Candles.
Tiki Torches.
Burn Barrels.
Ground fires, including fire pits or any style of campfire.
Fire Performance such as fire spinning, including non-performing workshops or practice.
Art Installation Fires.
Gas Flame Effects.
Liquid Fuel Flame Effects.
Mutant Vehicle / Art Car Flame Effects.
Pyrotechnics.

Permission for some uses of fire (for example Burn Barrels, Cookers, Heaters, Fire Performance etc) may be granted within specified  areas by a member of the Blazing Swan Fire Team.  The following list of permitted types of bBurn Facilities and Burn aActivities may be permitted depending on the current fire risk rating.


Permitted in all area
Gas Cookers (LPG, butane or propane).
Barbeques (LPG only, not wood or coal).
Gas Outdoor Heaters.

Permitted in the Theme Camp Zone, but only if a Burn Permit Has been obtained:

Tiki Torches.

Burn Barrels.

BBQ and Ovens (wood or coal type)

Fire Performance such as fire spinning, including non-performing workshops and practice.

Art Installation Fires.

Gas Flame Effects.

Liquid Fuel Flame Effects (non-pressurised)

Mutant Vehicle / Art Car Flame Effects.

Pyrotechnics.

Event participants must follow all fire safety instructions given by Blazing Swan Fire Team,  Contractor Fire Crew  and WA Fire Service Crew at all times   Blazing Swan gives fire safety the highest possible priority and nothing that is not permitted in the Shire of Kulin is permitted on site.  Further conditions relating to Fire Safety  are laid out here, and if there is any confusion or doubt please contact Blazing Swan’s Fire Team.

No fire performance or artwork burn activity is permitted without obtaining prior permission from the Blazing Swan Fire Team.  This is a very brief summary of our Fire Management regime as it affects Event participants.  If something is not mentioned here it should not be inferred it is permitted.  If it is to do with fire, safety is foremost - check with the Blazing Swan Fire Team.
