Parks & Recreation Committee

Minutes for April 6 at 7:30 in New Borough Hall  

Next Meeting in office May 4  at 7:30

Attending:  Lori Kesilman, Derek MacMillan, Tom Price, Pete LaMontange,  Andrea Antell, Jo Schuler

Absent:

We are in need of TWO more members.  Contact the office if you are interested.

Committee Organization:

• Derek is chair
• Andrea is the treasurer
• Lori is secretary
• We meet on first Mondays of the month  

Minutes for tonight’s meeting:

1. Playing field

1. Lenape Valley is out
2. Derek got a quote from Chris Gilbert to do a playing field and a swale to divert stormwater - Derek will touch base with Mark Hintenlang to discuss

2. Pruning meeting. 

1. Andrea will send out an email with a date and time

3. Mission Statement

1. Comprehensive Plan for Orchard Park - we are going to develop one.  Will look at the working from the grant

• bridge
• sing
• walking trail

2. Will be looking at the borough’s comprehensive plan for open space

• 2007 was the last one on website

3. Andrea will bring an outline/table of contents to next meeting

4. Discussed a possible 25 year lease of Civic Grant - we will look at written proposal that Goodwin is writing before presented to council

1. Grant Application - for Rain Garden

5. Bucks County Water and Sewer heads in Orchard Park - will talk to Mark to find out what they are for
6. Robin  - Can you update us on the progress of the bike and hike trail that goes from train station to the parkway
7. Treasurer - Andrea as treasurer needs to get copies of all receipts and of monies going in and out.  Robin /Marie - can you get her that?  Thanks!
