Autoflower Light Cycle

Do autoflowers need darkness? There are growers who believe autoflowering plants need a dark period and won't be as healthy if they get a 24/0 light schedule. There's no real evidence of that but there may be exceptions. Also have in mind that a 24/0 will lower humidity, increase temperature, and increase the light bill.

Technically speaking, autoflowers don't need darkness because the Ruderalis is accustomed to 24 hours of daylight at times in the wild, depending on the season. They can be grown in any light cycle as long as the conditions are favorable in terms of temperature. Even in the wild, the Ruderalis don't depend on light to flower.

I then trim them of scrap, cut off and hang in the dark for 2 days. I then process branches and hang for 7 days, monitoring and breaking them down further to keep the dry even accross bud sizes. Depending on factors, broken down to final nugs and sometimes paperbagged before the jars and burping. As far as potency, final swell is concerned.
