Digital Communications Manager

Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action is seeking a Digital Communications Manager to help build a spiritually rooted Jewish climate movement through digital communications.

The central responsibilities of the role are to execute creative strategies to engage, cultivate, and grow Dayenu’s audiences across all digital platforms, including writing and creating content for email, social media, and SMS. The Digital Manager will collaborate with Dayenu staff to hone and deliver compelling digital campaigns, and amplify Dayenu’s unique voice in the Jewish community and beyond.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute creative strategies to engage, cultivate, and grow Dayenu’s audiences across all digital platforms
• Write and edit email copy and help tell the story of a growing Jewish climate movement
• Write copy for social media posts, create graphic and video content, and frame content for different platforms based on audience and tone
• Track, triage, and respond to comments and questions that come through social media channels
• Manage and regularly update Dayenu’s website
• Manage and maintain our CRM and data systems
• Contribute to the development and success of Dayenu’s programs and campaigns
• Maintain a digital communications calendar, and track and analyze Dayenu’s digital engagement and growth across platforms
• Help cultivate Dayenu’s unique voice in the Jewish community and beyond

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in digital campaigning, marketing, community management and/or content creation
• 1-2 years experience as staff or volunteer leader in political work, organizing and/or advocacy
• Experience with CRMs, advocacy tools, and social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Facility with EveryAction or VAN a plus.
• Basic HTML & CSS knowledge
• Digital ad experience or agency experience is a plus
• Exceptional writing and verbal communications skills
• Basic graphic design and video editing skills
• Excellent project management skills, and efficient time and workload management skills
• A track record of working with people across lines of difference, engaging with diverse communities, and a manifest commitment to anti-racist practice.
• Excited to work closely with a small, spirited team leading a start-up organization.
• Works well both independently and collaboratively; track record with project management and execution; and an orientation to detail.
• Passionate about Dayenu’s mission and commitment to growing a multigenerational, multiracial Jewish climate movement.
• Knowledge of Jewish community, tradition and culture
• Previous work or volunteer leadership on climate justice and/or in Jewish community a plus

Compensation: Salary is $65,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience. This role requires full status to work in the United States and willingness to provide employment verification as required.
