| Boarding Family Communication All Boarding students belong to a Boarding Family Group, headed by a Boarding Advisor who helps to ensure that each student is well-known and cared for at Branksome Hall. The Boarding Advisor will create one progress report and host one Zoom call with parents for each student in her Family Group detailing the student’s academic, co-curricular and social well-being. This communication is sent to parents and guardians via email; parents should expect to receive these updates twice per term (one letter, one Zoom call).
Attendance To ensure continuity of care and student safety, only the Director of Boarding can excuse a Boarding student from school. The school posts attendance on the Portal and includes attendance information on mid-term and final report cards. The Portal also defines if an absence was for a school-related trip, or if a late or absence has been excused (such as for illness or extended holiday) or not excused. Missed class time that is not excused will need to be made up either before or after school. Should you have any questions about your child’s attendance records, please contact the Director of Boarding. Attendance information for every student is shared with the Ministry of Education.
