BH Reopening: 2021-22

Junior School Food Services

Lunch and Snack Procedures

In order to balance healthy eating and COVID-19 risk mitigation, we are continuing with modifications to our campus dining experience. Students will bring their lunch to school, being allergy conscious in their choices (i.e. nut-free.) They will eat their snacks and lunch in their designated classroom.

Please see the information below about our optional lunch program organized
by term.

Junior School Student Lunch Program

Aramark is offering Junior School students a hot lunch option that can be ordered by term. Hot lunch program continues for all students enrolled in the program before March Break. Hot lunch consists of a main protein, side carbohydrate and vegetable. It is accompanied by fresh fruit or vegetables and an afternoon snack that will be delivered to your child’s classroom. The lunch options change daily throughout the term. Please see the Campus Dish website below for the menu offerings: https://branksomeca.campusdish.com/LocationsAndMenus/JuniorSchool

Information on Lunch Program Ordering:

  • Those enrolled in the hot lunch program will carry over from March Break until the end of the year.
  • The cost ($9 per meal/day) will be billed to your account.
  • Meals will be delivered to classrooms, where students will eat their lunch.

To opt-in or opt-out of the hot lunch program or should you have any questions about the meals, please contact Julie Trudeau.

Junior School Lunch and Snack Guidelines:

The following guidelines will assist our modified approach:

All students and staff wash their hands in class before eating snacks or lunch. If there is no sink, they may use their own sanitizer.

All students and staff wash their hands after eating snacks and lunch.

Snack and lunch is supervised by the homeroom teacher.

All rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after lunch and at the end of each day.

Dietary Restrictions: Please contact Julie Trudeau at ext. 246, if your child has any dietary restrictions due to intolerances or religious practices. If your child has food allergies, please consult with Head School Nurse Sage Kavander in the Health Centre at ext. 229.
