Weekly Bulletin November 26 - November 30, 2018 | Week 13 |
MESSAGE FROM BAA HEADMASTER, MS. CLARK |
After the Thanksgiving break, we move into our first big performance period. I am excited that the BAA music majors are starting a showcase series at a Fields Corner neighborhood café (home.stead bakery & café) on Wednesday, November 28. This will be the first of several music showcases we will have at home.stead. Each showcase will feature BAA music students from all grades. Senior Dance Project is this coming weekend on December 1st at Boston University Dance Theatre. The BAA Senior Dance Project is a capstone project designed to demonstrate students’ competency in technique, performance skills, and understanding of choreographic devices and expression. It's always a show not to be missed! Please see the end of the bulletin for the many other performances upcoming between now and the end of the break. Students, performances are the result and reward for your many hours of hard work, and we look forward to celebrating with you! |
CONGRATULATIONS AND SHOUT-OUTS |

For this to work, you need to submit an idea that would help Boston/your neighborhood. The Boston Arts Academy Foundation is an independent, registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was established in 1999 to raise essential funds for the school. Each year, the BAA Foundation raises between 35% and 40% of the school’s budget from private sources. The BAA Foundation helps bridge the gap between the school’s allocation from the Boston Public Schools, and the true cost of a high-quality education that is both arts-intensive and college preparatory. Support from foundations, corporations, and individual donors is critical to the school’s ability to offer a comprehensive arts and academic education. Without such support, our city’s young people, living in one of the cultural capitals of the world, would not be able to attend a public arts high school.
