Weekly Bulletin

October 9 - October 13, 2017  |  Week 7

MESSAGE FROM BAA HEADMASTER, MS. CLARK

One of our shared values at Boston Arts Academy is community with social responsibility, and we’re encouraging students to interpret community broadly this week. We have all been concerned by the destruction and heartbreak the recent hurricanes and earthquakes have caused. Each day this week, leading up to Thursday’s town meetings, we will be highlighting through announcements different places that have been affected: Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Barbuda, Anguilla, St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominica, and Mexico. We will also be sharing with students how they can help and posting places to donate on bulletin boards on the second floor of BAA.

At our town meetings on Thursday this week, we’ll ask students to share their ideas: How can we as a Boston Arts Academy support those affected as Artists, Scholars, and Global Citizens? I’ve always been impressed by our students’ generous, creative spirits, and I’m looking forward to hearing their thoughts.

Have a great week!
