Global Tournament Participant Guidelines
World of Warships
- Introduction
- These guidelines will serve to inform participants of the eligibility to participate in both Wargaming and Wargaming Sponsored tournaments in World of Warships, as well as lay out additional rules and possible sanctions for violating these rules for both tournament organisers and participants.
- Please note that this is a non-exhaustive list. Further action can be taken against organisers or participants if deemed appropriate by Wargaming Staff. Such decisions will always be discussed and will not be taken lightly.
- Sanctions given out for Wargaming Sponsored tournaments may still have consequences for eligibility to participate in Wargaming tournaments such as King of the Sea or Warship Masters.
- Eligibility
- The following actions may cause a participant to become ineligible for a tournament, or may cause any of the sanctions listed in paragraph 3:
- They received a ban in-game for any reason in the period from the tournament sign-ups opening to the last day of the tournament
- They are banned during any tournament day
- They were banned for cheating/using illegal modifications or similar in the last 6 months
- They violated any naming structures deemed inappropriate in any way or otherwise deemed to be in violation of naming practices disallowed by the Wargaming Terms of Service, End User Licence Agreement or Community Guidelines.
- This includes but is not limited to: Participant names, Team tags, Team names, Official communications on tournament relevant platforms, Team logos
- They violated general behavioural guidelines on tournament relevant platforms (such as a tournament stream, tournament discord etc.). This includes but is not limited to
- The use of excessive profanity and inappropriate language, directed untoward another participant, team, organiser or member of staff
- Posting exploits/hacks, including illegal modifications or any exploits that can give a team or participant the benefit over another team or participant
- Advertising account sales
- The use of discriminatory language and/or hate speech
- The act of doxxing another participant or team
- Posting real-life threats
- RMT related services
- A participant violated the account ownership rules. This includes but is not limited to
- The sharing of one’s account credentials
- Letting another user use their account
- A participant violated the press account rules
- A participant harassed, discriminated or used hate speech against another participant, team, organiser or member of staff, regardless of platform.
- Sanctions
- Violating any of the above described rules may result in any of the following sanctions being applied to a participant or team.
- Loss of prizes for a specific tournament
- Loss of prizes obtained via previous tournament(s)
- Inability to participate in the tournament
- Inability to participate in any tournaments for a set duration
- Permanent inability to participate in any tournaments
- Temporary account ban
- Permanent account ban
