  1. Meeting called to order at 7:32PM.  Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
  2. Roll call was taken.
  3. Andrea made a motion to approve the 3/8/18 CBC minutes.  Motion was seconded by Loren.  Motion was unanimously approved.
  4. Review of the Stephen Barth Economic Development Report – a copy was sent by Jackie to CBC members prior to tonight’s meeting.  There was a brief discussion of the Knoell property.
  5. Unfinished Business
  1. Welcome New Resident Folder – CBC looked at examples of a Business Directory and the New Britain Borough map. Members were asked to look at the Upper Dublin and Cherry Hill business directories before the May 10th CBC meeting. The updated NBB map shown to CBC by Sam is the final version and will be printed by Hometown Press and distributed at local businesses, the NBB office and mailed to NBB residents.
  2. A-Day at DelVal University – NBB has an outdoor booth.  Sam will send a “Doodle” email for volunteers to sign up to be at the booth.  Oval NBB magnets will be given to those who stop by the booth.  A basket containing gifts or coupons from local businesses will be raffled off.  CBC members will be contacting local businesses for contributions to the basket.  Items need to be collected by 4/23.  Sam to coordinate with other NBB committees.
  3. Bench, Bike Rack, and Garbage Can Options – discussion deferred to the May 10th CBC meeting.
  4. NBB Gateway Signage – Jackie sent CBC members superimposed images that Andrea composed of signage at NBB locations.  Need to finalize details (e.g., proximity to fire hydrants, distance from the road, dimensions, view, etc.) of the 2 locations (near DelVal University and near Steve Gieseler’s office).  The signs should be the same at both locations.  Current signs in those locations will be moved to other NBB locations.  David H. suggested the signs be in the shape of a covered bridge.  Andrea will take more pictures with superimposed signage and send to CBC members.  Discussion to be continued at the May 10th CBC meeting.
  1. New Business
  1. Butler/Tamenend Traffic Control Box – further discussion was deferred to the May 10th CBC meeting where Tess can lead a discussion on “wrapping” the box.
  2. Fourth of July Parade – NBB, Chalfont, and New Britain Township participate.  CBC members were asked to think about ways in which NBB can participate (e.g., a float, invite a Mummer band, etc.).  Discussion is deferred to a future CBC meeting.
  1. Andrea made a motion to adjourn which was seconded by Loren.  Motion passed unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 8:53PM.
