TeamSnap for Coaches and Managers

Rookie, Minors, Majors

If you are new to TeamSnap, use this guide to get familiar with the basics.

• Loading your team's practice schedule (Manager).
• The game schedule will be loaded by the league. Contact David Spence / uic@beaconhillball.com if you have any game or scheduling questions.
• Sending emails and messages to the team
• Adding Game Assignments
• Adding Jersey Numbers

Sending Emails from TeamSnap Desktop

Log into TeamSnap.com

Click on My Teams

Select the team you want

To send an email to the entire team, or select people on the team, click on Messages

(note the Chat channel features are only on Mobile)

Click on + New Email

Type your email, and select who you want it to go to.

Sending Emails from TeamSnap Mobile (iPhone interface - Android may be different)

Log into TeamSnap

Tap on the drop down at the top to select your team

Tap on Messages in the bottom , then Tap on Emails

Tap on “+” in the top right

 Tap on “To:” and then select the recipients      

Adding Practices and Events

Adding your practice schedule is best done on the website.

Click on Schedule

Click Add / Practice or Event

Enter all the details.

Notes:

• Do NOT create any new locations for the existing BH locations.
• Use the “Repeats” feature for your recurring practices
• Click Optional Event info to add the duration, arrival time (10 minutes for practice / 60 mins for game warm up (or coach choice)) and any notes.
• If this is a game add any Assignments (scorekeeping, scoreboard, and 2 field prep)
• Notify your team? Check the box and they’ll get an email for each event.

Adding practices and Events from the Mobile app:

Click on Schedule, click on “+” on iPhone or similar on Android

Do not add games. If you need a game added please email David Spence / uic@beaconhillball.com

Adding Game Assignments

Click on Assignments / Click on +

For Home games you will need:

• 1 Scorekeeper
• 1 Scoreboard operator
• 2 Field Prep

Hit save

Parents will now see the available assignments in the TeamSnap app and can self select. You can also choose to Assign someone from this screen

Adding Jersey Numbers

Adding Jersey Numbers is critical for coaches and scorekeepers. These MUST be added.

Click on Roster

Click on Edit

Enter their jersey # in the “Jersey Number” field

This can also be done on the mobile app while you are handing out jerseys.

Select the player from the Roster, press Edit, use the Jersey Number field
