Scoring away interlock games on GameChanger is just as easy as in our clubhouse.

If you have a GC account and are a Family Member of a player you can scorekeep on your phone.

Becoming a Family Member

If you aren’t a confirmed Family Member of a player yet, there are 2 ways to do this (skip to “Designating Scorekeepers” if you are already a Confirmed Family Member)

Option 1: (the easiest method) Staff Member adds Family Member:  Ask your Staff to add you as a family member on their mobile device

From your Teams main screen, the Staff clicks on Team

click on Players

select the player's name

click Contacts

click “Add Family Contact”, and adds your email

Now you will be added as a Family Member of that player. If you don’t have an account already you’ll be invited to create one.

Now skip to “Designating Scorekeepers” on the next page in this document.

Option 2. Download and create a free account in the GameChanger App. Search for your team (use the Season and Location filters if needed).

Click on Join Team

Click on “I’m a Family Member”

Select the player for whom you are a family member and click Submit

This request will go to the team Staff. They need to open the app and approve that you are a Family member.

These above steps only need to be done once per player per team.

Designating Scorekeepers:

This needs to be done by one of the Staff roles on your team (ie Coach or Assistant). They can select specific people who can scorekeep throughout the season or all confirmed family members. If the same people are your regular scorekeepers you only need to do this once.

Team Staff: From the home screen, click on Team

Click on Scorekeepers (the following is the same if you want to designate a separate Videographer to record the game using their phone mounted to a tripod or to the fence. Beacon Hill is not responsible for any data costs associated with scorekeeping or video recording of games).

Select either All confirmed members, or Only selected members

If using Only Selected Members, choose the Family Members and click Save. The Scorekeeper is now set up and will be able to scorekeep any game.

Setting up the game:

On game day, if your game is not already in your schedule your coach or any of the Staff roles on your team need to first create the game. This is best done at the field since the opposing team may be using GameChanger so you can ask the opposing team their team name as some names aren’t always obvious.

Have your Staff open the GC app, or ask them for their phone to do this. Click on Add Event

Enter the game details for Home/Away, start date/time and click Opponent

Start typing your opponent's team name. If they are on GameChanger already, they will show up in the Search Results. Don’t forget to confirm that you are using the correct season/location if needed. Select the correct Opponent. Click Add in the top right

If they are not on GameChanger click on “Create “xxxxxxx””. Once you start Scoring the game you will need to add their Roster.

Back in the Game details, click on Save in the top right

Click Save & Don’t Message Team

Now that the Staff has added the Game the Scorekeeper takes over. On the Scorekeeper’s mobile device select the game from the schedule

Then select Info and Score Game.

Add your players from the Bench (just like when scorekeeping on the iPad)

Select Opponent at the bottom and add their lineup from their Bench.

If your opponent is not on GameChanger use Create New Player to add them.

From here on the rest is just like scoring any other game. Keep in mind that you don’t need to worry about placing the opposing teams players on the field. However, ask your coach if they would like you to place, and change, the pitcher in order to keep track of the opposing team’s pitch counts.

New: you don’t need to hit pitch each time: common pitching outcomes are at the bottom of the screen.
