Schedule a Meeting

Start the Zoom application

  1. Click on Home on the top dashboard
  2. Click on Schedule

Meeting Details:  Steps 1 - 8

  1. Name the meeting.

  1. Set the date/time details for your meeting OR select “Recurring meeting” to create a meeting link that will remain stable for one year. Notice the time Zone (US and Canada).

  1. Select Meeting ID (It can automatically generate or in this example is it set to 516.686.7719)

  1. You have the option of password-protecting the meeting.

  1. Choose “Host” ON - if you want to join first OR select “off” if  you want to allow participants to join the meeting before you do. In that event, you will receive an email that tells you your meeting attendees are waiting and give you a direct link to the meeting.

  1. Select the type of audio. If you prefer participants to join via telephone and computer audio make sure this is selected.

  1. Add it to your calendar. Check Outlook to have it appear on your Outlook calendar and automatically generate an email.

  1. Click “Schedule.”

Next: An email with all the Zoom meeting information will appear on your screen.

  1. Fill in the participants in the “To” field.
  2. Click “Send”.
