Want to fight plastic pollution in Howard County?

The hearing for Less Plastic Please Bag bill (CB64) will be on Monday, 11/18. This bill will help to decrease disposable plastic by imposing a small fee for its use. The plastic industry is out in force against this bill -  if you don't want them to win, let your County Council Representative know.

Dear Council member,

I am writing today to ask that you support CB64, a fee on plastic bags.

Every minute of every day a garbage truck full of plastic enters our waterways. It is an environmental and health crisis unfolding before our eyes. Fees have been proven to work to reduce plastic pollution and give consumers a choice. CB64 will address the crisis by reducing plastic, and will also bring increased awareness to the community so we can move forward and turn the tide on plastic pollution.
