Minutes for Parks & Recreation Committee                                                January 2017

Attendees:  Derek MacMillan, Tom Price, Andrea Antell, Jeff Gilmore

Items Discussed:  

1. PECO Grant – Final version to be re-sent to committee by Sam Bryant.  Requested funding for bridge, path, & supporting services for ADA compliance and in-accordance with park access detailed in comprehensive plan
2. Clean-up Work – Tree islands cleared, invasives removed, wood chips spread, rock pile removed, & (3) apple trees removed (All About You).  Work was satisfactory but requires completion in Spring ($200 in escrow pending completion)
3. Apple Tree Quotes – Confirmed requesting a 3rd quote from Bartlett’s Tree Service
4. Additional Grants – No additional grants or projects discussed
5. Permits – Determined that existing DEP permit does not have an expiration date and is available for bridge completion dependent upon the outcome of PECO grant
