Minutes for February 1  at 7:30 in New Borough Hall  

Next Meeting in office February 29 at 7:30

Attending:  Tom Price, Jo Schuler, Tess LaMontagne,  Lori Kesilman, Derek MacMillan

Absent: Andrea Antell

Visitors: Sam

We are in need of ONE more member.  Contact the office if you are interested.

Minutes for Tonight’s Meeting:

1. Resolution review - Discussed questions with Sam.

1. responsibilities of subcommittees could be spelled out

1. Bird Town
2. Orchard Park
3. Bike and Hike
4. Community Garden

2. think Council should appoint people to Parks and Parks should be able to appoint to subcommittees when needed

2. Submit Orchard Park Comprehensive Plan

1. Tess will put measurements of land size into the Orchard Park
2. Appendix needed

3. Sam discussed the ideas of floating and anchored bridge.  Mark is meeting with Conservation District to get their feedback.
4. Grading is being put out to bid -  We will have quotes by our next meeting.  Sam will run them by Mark and give his feedback to the group at the next meeting.
5. Tabling letter until Comprehensive plan is finished

1. Proactively send a letter to residents who border the park telling them about plans and let them about meetings.  Andrea will draft letter, share with us and then give to Sam to mail out.

6. Orchard Park Rules:

1. no camping
2. no dogs off leash
3. pick up after your dog
4. vandals will be prosecuted
5. no alcoholic beverages
6. authorized vehicles only
7. no open fires
8. open dawn to dusk
9. no littering
10. respect the boundary lines

7. Arbor Day

1. Sam said tree funds can be used. Possibly specimen tree to compliment the old oak.  Tom will meet with Joe, Sam and Lori about if this is possible. Lori will setup meeting.  
2. Lori is in contact with Walter’s Nursery about possible tree donation
