Registration closes at 11:59 PM on Sunday, Nov 30.

Deadline to drop is 11:59 PM, Monday, Dec 10.
Entries unpaid by this date will be dropped.

Drops after this deadline cannot be refunded, and are additionally responsible for paying the late drop fee incurred by the team, $15.

ENTRY FEES:  

SPEECH:  $30 per entry ($25/partner for duo).
DEBATE:  $40 per PF partner, $60 per LD entry.

ENTRY LIMITS

You may enter up to two speech events, AND a maximum of one debate. Entry in both speech and debate is possible, but at your own risk, as you may forfeit if one of the events is running behind.

NOVICE DIVISION ELIGIBILITY

To qualify for novice division, a competitor must be in his/her first year of competition, OR (for debate only) is in their second year of competition and has never advanced to an elimination round.

Novice division entries cannot earn UKTOC/NIETOC bids, nor can they be used to qualify as an at-large entry.

A Novice division competitor competing with a Open division partner must be entered in Open division.

SPECIAL RULES / TOPICS:

LD — Use CHSSA rules. Topic is the NSDA Sep/Oct topic.

Public Forum — use CHSSA rules (Aff always speaks first, sides assigned for prelims, coin flip in elims if round is not side-locked)
Debate topic will be the NSDA November topic.

Speech — use CHSSA rules, except that OA and OO are combined into “Persuasive”, and Extemp is combined IX/NX.

TOC BIDS

LD — No bids awarded.

Public Forum — UKTOC Gold bid at semifinals (silver bid at quarterfinals)

Speech — NIETOC bid for DI, HI, Duo, OO, POI, and Inf; UKTOC bid for the above plus Extemp and OI. The rank at which bids are awarded depends on total number of entries in that event (usually at the Finals level).

* Most speech events will have final rounds at 8:30 AM. Semifinals will only be held in events with 50+ entries in that division. As it stands as of Nov 10 at 11:00 AM, the only events with semifinals are Ext-O, Imp, OI, and OO.
