Discovery Education
Discovery Education is a simple-to-use K-12 learning platform that combines dynamic curated curriculum resources with on-demand teaching strategies, personalized for your needs as an educator. The collection includes videos, audio files, images, text, lessons, teaching strategies and the ability to assign these resources to students through Schoology. Additionally this resource includes a collaborative online poster creation tool that can be used to build a lesson for students or for students to create a product demonstrating their learning. The resources linked below require the user to log into Discovery Education.

Doceri is a whiteboard iOS app that can be used as a substitute for a whiteboard or as a screen recording tool.

Google Meet
Google hangout meet is a videoconferencing application found within our district google domain. It can be used for small group instruction or a class meeting. Staff should not use this product for a 1:1 meeting with a student unless they have permission from Denise Galen.

iOS Updates
- To update your iPad, first be sure to plug in your charger and cable. Then, go to the Settings app > General (left column) > Software Updates (right column).
iPad > Hard Reset
- To perform a hard reset, first hold down both the power and home button at the same time. Continue holding both buttons down, and the screen will eventually go blank. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons. This restarts your iPad and should improve performance.

- You will need to “trust” on your laptop the first time you connect.

- Be sure your iPad is unlocked (passcode entered)

Student Email (Mail App)
- To check your mail settings, go to the Settings app > then tap on Passwords & Accounts (left side) > Hempfield Student Email (right side) > Account
- When the popup appears, go to the Password field and enter your current Hempfield password. Tap Done in the upper right corner when finished. Wait to see a series of check marks appear on the right side of the window.
- Return to the Mail app and new messages should appear within 5-10 seconds.
