Open Role: Business Development @ Upstream Tech

Opportunity

Upstream Tech is a technology company that uses satellites and machine learning to help organizations manage and monitor natural resources. We’re growing quickly and are building out our business development team that connects partner organizations and customers to our services and capabilities.

Specifically, we are looking for a talented team member to help grow our HydroForecast work at the intersection of remote sensing, machine learning, sustainable watershed management, and renewable energy generation.

You will wear many hats in this role: identifying leads, presenting to prospective customers in sales meetings, supporting marketing efforts and exploring new markets through which we can maximize global impact. Distilling the feedback and ideas generated during these meetings will shape our product development.

The right candidate is driven by our mission, has a working knowledge of renewable energy, electric and/or hydropower utilities, and/or water infrastructure and conservation, should demonstrate excellent independent work ethic, and a desire to work closely with a driven, remote team.

Location

Remote. We conduct business using technologies like Slack and video conferencing. We do a biannual in-person trip to work, bond, and celebrate our successes.
