Call Team Instructions

Welcome to the Call Team and thank you for being a volunteer! We make calls to voters using a dialer service that we refer to as “the dialer”. In this document you will find the most up-to-date instructions for making calls on the dialer. You will also find links to all of the training documents and tools that you need to successfully make calls. Please bookmark this document.

If you have any questions, please check out our help center here. You can also email us at answers.political@sierraclub.org.

The calls we’re making today

Today, we will be calling Sierra Club Members and Supporters in a few different states to encourage them to call one or both of their Senators. The states we’re targeting have at least one Republican Senator who might vote to convict and disqualify Trump. We want these Senators’ constituents to call them and urge them to vote for conviction!

Today’s states are Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Nebraska.

You can call your Senator at 888-434-0402 using this script: sc.org/script.

Dialer Status

Updates will be posted here regarding the status of our dialer - if you are experiencing long wait times between calls, or any technical issues, check here to see if there is a widespread issue occurring! You can also find moment-by-moment updates on Slack.

Currently:

The Sierra Club Callers service is loaded with calls to Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Nebraska.

If you’re clicking on the green “Click here to start calling” button, and getting stuck - don’t fear! Go to the top left corner of your screen where you’ll see “Not Ready”. Click there and change the status to “Ready” - then you’ll start getting connected to calls!

Signing up for a call team training

During a training, we will walk through how to make calls using the dialer. The training itself lasts about one hour. Afterwards, we ask that you commit to making calls for two hours.

We currently have Call Team Trainings every weekday through January 29th. Please sign up for the training that fits your schedule best here: sc.org/CallTeamTraining

*If you encounter a voter who wants to volunteer with us, please give them the link above to sign up!
