Last week, ASB was out to encourage everyone to join in the Great Kindness Challenge of 2020, one week was devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible on campus. There were dress up days, lunch time activities, small prizes, and more. There was an informational parent meeting for the French Caribbean on Wednesday, January 29th after school in Room 53. Last Thursday there was a SAGA meeting! Last Friday the 31st Dance Club met in the auditorium. Congratulations to the Natural Resource Team last weekend placing 4th in the State contest. Friday was your last day to order a Valentine carnation gram for your friends and loved ones. You can send a single carnation and a note for just $2 or buy a bouquet of 25 flowers for $30. | |||||||||||||||||
This Week in Review - Click HERE for the MCHS Calendar - This Wednesday the Poetry Out Loud competition will be taking place in the auditorium from 9:45 to 11:30 am. Best of luck to the students participating! Attention Softball Players: Tryouts for softball begin 2/10 at 3:15 on the varsity field. You must have all necessary paperwork turned in and cleared by Mrs. Chase in order to tryout and play. If you are not playing a winter sport, we are currently conditioning for the upcoming season, however, you must be cleared to participate. Any questions, contact Penny Long, Debbie Leonard, or Tony Williams. This Wednesday the 5th there will be a Rotary Club meeting at lunch in room 51 at lunch, The meeting will be pertaining to the rotary talent show being planned. Anyone interested is welcome to come. This Tuesday, February 4, the grading window will open. This means that progress reports and grade reports will come out next week. Start the semester strong and work hard Grizzlies!!! This Friday the 7th Dance club is meeting after school in the auditorium at 3:15. The Academic Boosters Club is hosting 2 Career Lunches in February. The 1st will be on 2/13 with Mariposa County Auditor Luis Mercado. The 2nd Career Lunch will be with MCHS and UC Merced graduate Tyler Shaddix who is a software developer and the Chief Product Officer at GoGuardian. Sign up for Career Lunches in the counseling office. Lunch is FREE for the first 30 students who sign up.
