Course Policies

These are the policies of the Ottawa Real Estate Board’s  New Member Orientation Program. In order to continue in the online portion, Members must accept these policies. If a Member disagrees with any of these policies they are to contact the Board’s CEO at 613-225-2240 ext 222.

  1. There are two parts to the New Member Orientation and Applicants must complete both Parts within three (3) months.
  2. Part One is online and must be completed within 30 days. Day 1 will be the date OREB emails the course code to the Member. Failure to complete Part One within 30 days will result in the Member being assessed a $100 re-enrolment fee and being granted 14 more days to complete Part One.
  3. Part Two is in-class and can only be taken once the Member has successfully completed Part One. Part Two will take place at the Board office at 1826 Woodward Drive. Registration is required and New Member Orientations are held once a month.
  4. Failure to complete both Parts One and Two within three (3) months may result in suspension of Board Services.
  5. Where OREB education course materials are accessed by means of the Internet or other electronic transmissions, OREB, its service providers and/or its business partners are not responsible for any damage or loss of data that may result to the applicant, the applicant’s computer system, or any other electronic device of the applicant.
