Helping Hand Food Pantry

The Helping Hand Food Pantry operates on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from 9:00-11:00 am at the church, 1991 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge (2 blocks from Porter Square). Please note we are no longer operating out of the Fresh Pond Apartments at 365 Rindge Avenue.

We offer a wide variety of fresh, frozen, and packaged grocery items, household cleaning products and sanitary products, to those in need of them.

Donations of unexpired canned and packaged food goods, cleaning supplies and sanitary products (maxi pads are particularly requested - NO TAMPONS PLEASE) can be dropped off at our location. Drop-off hours are on the second and fourth Fridays of each month from 10am-12pm.

Proof of Residency in Cambridge or Somerville is required. Proof includes a tax bill, rent statement, utility bill, phone/cable bill, car registration or driver's license. We welcome the unhoused.

Please note the following changes to the Pantry as of 10/2022:

Restrooms are closed to guests.

Masks are required while inside the Pantry (we can provide a mask if you do not have one)
