Dolphin Club
Dolphin Club is our pre-competitive team that is geared for young swimmers developing their skills and passion for the sport while preparing for future competitive challenges. Our coaches focus on mastering the fundamentals of freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Through tailored drills and technique sessions, swimmers will build a solid foundation in each stroke, laying the groundwork for success in competitive swimming.
Our Dolphin School has three distinct levels. Each level serves as a crucial building block in your child’s swimming journey. It is essential for every swimmer to establish a strong foundation in one level before progressing to the next. If we determine that your swimmer is not in the appropriate level, we will assign them to the correct one. Should you have any questions about the most suitable level for your swimmer, please contact your Club’s Swim Coordinator.
If you find that your swimmer is not a good fit for any of the offered group lessons, please reach out to your Club’s Swim Coordinator for other options, including private lessons.
Which Stage is Your Swimmer Ready for?
Level 1 | Swimmers must be able to swim 12.5 meters, or half the length of the pool while demonstrating a working knowledge of freestyle. |
Level 2 | Swimmers must be able to swim a full length, 25 meters, freestyle without stopping and while demonstrating proper side-breathing. Must be comfortable floating on their back. |
Level 3 | Swimmers must easily enter water and comfortably swim a 25 meter backstroke and freestyle without stopping and while demonstrating proper side-breathing. |
Dolphin Club Level 1 was designed to help swimmers learn how to swim freestyle with proper side-breathing technique as well as learning to be comfortable kicking on their back.
Dolphin Club Level 2 is designed for swimmers focusing on conditioning their freestyle and learning proper backstroke technique. Fundamentals of Butterfly and Breaststroke will also be covered.
Dolphin Club Level 3 is geared towards stronger young swimmers. This level will focus on basic stroke development for all competitive strokes, including learning proper butterfly and breaststroke technique. We will begin to introduce kick conditioning as well.
