March 12 - March 16, 2018  |  Week 27

MESSAGE FROM BAA HEADMASTER, MS. CLARK

On Wednesday, March 14, 2018 - the one-month anniversary of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida - students, teachers, and others from across the country are planning to participate in a 17-minute “walkout” to honor the 17 victims from Parkland. The event is also intended to urge Congress to adopt measures to help prevent gun violence in our schools and neighborhoods. The walkout is planned for 10am, and there is a rally at the Statehouse afterwards.

It has come to our attention that a number of Boston Arts Academy students would like to participate. We are trying to balance our wish to support students’ advocacy choices with our responsibility to communicate with families when students have left campus. Information about students’ plans would help us plan our communication.

We are sending home copies of a form on Monday. A digital copy of the form is available here: link. Please complete and return the form below to BAA’s main office on or before March 14th, 2018.

Thank you, and have a great week!

CONGRATULATIONS AND SHOUT OUTS

Shout out to Student Government and our Circle Keepers for the work done to prepare for and lead great circle discussions regarding our move to Dorchester.

Have someone(s) to congratulate or shout out? Please email Ms. Booth --> tbooth@bostonartsacademy.org (be sure to include name and reason for the shout out)
