CIVIL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

Patricia McGovern Engineers (PME) is a small civil and environmental engineering planning and design firm located in San Francisco. We provide consulting engineering services for water and wastewater municipalities in California and nationally. We are growing, with opportunity for rapid career growth.

We are currently recruiting for a lead structural engineer position.  Our preferred candidate is a mid-level design engineer, someone with strong finite element modeling and design skills.  Our standard FEM software is STAAD.  Familiarity with Revit/ACAD is a must.  Proficiency with CAD is a plus.

PME is a woman-owned firm that offers flexible work schedules, at office and work-from-home flexibility, etc.  Good communication skills are necessary to coordinate the design whether we are in the same office or at different locations.

Job Requirements

• California Civil or Structural P.E. license.
• Competency in working with STAAD.
• Familiarity with REVIT software.
• Experience with 1+ additional structural software (i.e. RAM, ETAB, or RISA.
• Ability to prepare AutoCAD structural plans with minimal supervision.
• At least four years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with water/wastewater a plus.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to resolve issues and complete work per deadlines efficiently.
• Ability to work well on a project team.
• Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
